Jessica Mandanda

Communications and Development Intern

Jessica has worked in youth empowerment and gender equality. She graduated with a bachelor's in Mass Communication and Journalism and finalised her dissertation on progress and stagnation of media in Malawi. Her passion and hope for youth empowerment and gender equality drives her to work towards the cause and to seek knowledge and experience in the field. Being a Communications and Development intern has been an enlightening and innovative experience as she continues to grow in the communications department and grows her passion for gender and youth empowerment for development in Malawi.


Mwayi Wetcha

Make Art / Stop AIDS Intern

Mwayi went to Chichiri School and then Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (Bunda Campus) where he obtained a bachelor's degree in Biotechnology. He has a certificate in Professional Project Management. Mwayi is motivated by making a positive change in people's lives with the skills he has. He likes seeing new places, playing video games, and taking new challenges.


Queen Mwamadi

Umunthu Programme Intern

Queen went to Mlanda Girls Secondary School and then obtained a bachelor's in Technical Education at the University of Malawi, The Polytechnic . She has certificates in Monitoring and Evaluation and Lesson for Life. She has previously worked with Save the Children International, GOAL Malawi, Development Concept Organisation  and now with Art and Global Health Centre Africa. Queen likes travelling, connecting with inspirational people, learning new things, reading educational books, taking challenges and watching movies.
