In collaborating on cultural initiatives with like-minded organisations across Malawi, AGHCA has built strong relationships with artists and their supporters. We are, however, always looking for opportunities to broaden and deepen our relationships with individuals and organisations in Malawi's cultural sector. If you’re interested in partnering with us, please CONNECT.
The AGHCA brought our participatory arts-based approach to the Festival of Ideas, an initiative hosted by Lake of Stars and the British Council Malawi to engage youth in discussions around civil society and development.
At Lake of Stars, we delivered a creative writing workshop and participatory storytelling sessions, as well as participating in the Day of Ideas for youth.
We delivered a livestream version of TEDx Lilongwe at the University of Malawi’s Chancellor College, cheering on the AGHCA’s very own Rodney Likaku – former Programme Officer for Students with Dreams – as he delivered a talk on youth leadership.
At the Tumaini Arts Festival in Dzaleka Refugee Camp, AGHCA has facilitated a Hope Tree, screened social justice films, and run an Umunthu workshop on inclusion.
At Pakachere Arts Festival in Zomba, AGHCA screened Last Chance, a film by Chancy Mauluka that exposed the sexual abuse of girls in rural primary schools.
