The Art & Global Health Center Africa (AGHCA) fosters creative leadership and implements innovative, arts-based, health-oriented programmes that inspire and mobilise.
Our vision is to serve as an “incubator” for arts-based approaches to actionable social change, creating replicable models that challenge barriers to healthy living.
We believe in the transformative power of the arts to facilitate experiential learning, encourage cross-cultural understanding, foster empathy, and strengthen communities.
We believe that health care is a human right and that every human being is entitled to a healthy life.
We believe that society develops through the creativity of its members. Encouraging and supporting innovation and critical thinking across disciplines and fields is vital to solving problems.
We believe in the power of collaboration and ownership. Working in partnership is key to building sustainable programmes. We therefore work in support of the efforts and goals of the government of Malawi and across different social sectors: urban and rural, educated and non educated, minorities and mainstream, men and women, young and old.
